The Uberti one follow the Pattent, this one is of my own making. Took a bit of fitting as the frame is narrower than the 1866 frame.
It know takes 10 shots and I use black powder only in it.

This is a dangerous thread...
Anyone have one with a charcoal blue finish? I would love to see some pics.
Also, where did you buy your charcoal blue firearms? Buffalo arms only has the CW 1860 in CB and a 45 Yellowboy carbine in CB. In 1860 I want civvie and Yellowboy I would want 44-40 carbine

Malpaso: that .44-40 carbine circa 76 is a beauty. Congratulations on owning it. If history could speak that one would hold my rapt attention.

Jim, i will take a photo of it on its own and post it on here. Its seen better days but still fires on the range ok, i only use BP. I may have mentioned that it is stamped with a number 199, and it seems to me that it may be Mounted police or Indian police or something like that

I see the option, but the vendors I can find don't have the exact models I want. Im not to worried about the durability, thats one of the reasons I want it. With as much as I get to go out and shoot, my modern blue guns will never look used.
