Here is a small part of my collection that I figured I'd show. It represents about 150 years of my family's history. One half of my family came out of Massachusetts and eventually put down roots in Nebraska in the 1860s. The other part of my family came from the Carolinas and settled in Arkansas and the Indian Territory. All the items in this shot are originals. There is a .41CF Colt Thunderrer, S&W .32RF model 1 1/2. Box Compass, miniature bowie with 6" blade and bone handle, 1870-80s era .45-70 rounds, my 3xGreat Grandfather's 1880s riding quirt, Sargent stripes and cavalry insignia, also Navajo pot, Sioux arrows, bead bags, moccasins and belts laid out on an original frontier blanket that was made sometime in the century before 1850. That is an awesome collection. I come from a family of packrats, so I surprised/saddened that nothing was handed down from that era.

My family has been in the west, since 1866 when my grandfather arrived in Montana as a sixteen year old. Sticky fingered relatives took everything when he passed away in 1950...! His rifles, his pistols, his tack, everything disappeared in one day. Bill
