anyone know when the picture of yellow stone kelly was taken? and what the coat kelly is wearing may be made of. it looks double breasted to me and worn loosely like a capote. i see fringe and what appears to be a fur collar and fur trim

Interesting photo. Looks as though the fellow on the left has a bobbed-down Trapdoor, a '66 by the looks of it. I like the embroidered placket on his shirt, that's pretty nifty!
I would guess that the revolver in the waistband of the fellow in the middle is a Colt 1860 Army, and he's also got what appears to be either a Springfield "Officer's Model" or an earlier sporterized version of the Trapdoor. I'd guess the later. Looks as though he's wearing a turban on his head, too. Wild.
All in all, a very nifty photo!
